Software Engineer – Supply Chain / Procurement Tech (Seed Stage)

,
$150,000 – $195,000 (up to $250,000 for the right person) + equity

Our client is a seed-stage startup backed by top venture investors, building the modern operating system for procurement. Their mission is to bring transparency and reliability to global supply chains, helping businesses understand their supply networks and adapt to disruption. Customer base grew 5x last year and they are scaling fast.

The founding team includes a serial operator with deep supply chain and aerospace/defence consulting experience, and an engineering leader who previously scaled a data integration team from 10 to thousands of customer connections at a high-growth fintech.

The role:

This is an early engineer hire with real influence over technical direction. You will build the product hands-on, talk directly with customers, and own the architectural roadmap as the platform scales. You need to be both strategic and tactical: comfortable building scrappily to prove value, and capable of re-architecting for scale once you have earned the right to.

What you will do:

  • Build and lead delivery of early platform versions, driving pilot programmes with initial customers
  • Own and evolve the architectural roadmap for the platform
  • Design and implement integrations with external APIs, partners, and cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and contribute to product and business strategy
  • Build from zero to one with great UI/UX across front-end and back-end

What you will need:

  • 5+ years building across front-end and back-end
  • Experience with modern open-source tech: TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, Trigger.dev
  • Startup and/or early-stage product experience (0-to-1 building)
  • Ability to ship API integrations quickly
  • Comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders and growing an engineering team
  • ERP system API experience a plus; supply chain background a bonus
