Our client is going through a major data transformation and looking to give self-service BI tools and functionality to the business. As a result, a new opening has been created for a Data Visualisation Lead to act as the bridge between BI/Dashboard Developers, Data Engineers and the rest of the data team.
Ideally, I’m looking for a Data Visualisation SME that is happy working the stakeholders across the data team explaining and demonstrating the functionality of tooling (Tableau and Qlik are currently in use) and how best to implement and build products. You will need to be confident advising and even pushing back on requirements from stakeholders. The good news is that the stakeholders you will be dealing with all belong to the data team so a basic level and understanding of the tooling is there, but you will be the SME they rely on for in-depth knowledge.
You will be working with multiple scrum teams made up of a Business Intelligence Developer who will design and develop the dashboards. As the Data Visualisation Lead, you will face off to the business, gather requirements and translate them to the teams.
Ideally, you would have been a dashboard developer in a previous life and then moved into a more stakeholder heavy role over the last 3/4 years. This can be a step up from the right person, someone who is happy to have lots of conversations across the business and handle tricky stakeholders.
Key areas of experience:
- Data Visualisation SME
- Developed dashboards in either Qlik or Tableau
- Technical and happy to translate requirements
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Strong stakeholder management, happy dealing with all levels
This role comes with a highly competitive salary, a 10% bonus and a 9% pension contribution.
I’ve got a full specification and much more detail I can go into on the client and role but if this has piqued your interest (and yes that is the right ‘piqued’ to use, I googled it!) please send me through CV and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
