Logikk is working exclusively with an organisation leading the way in Connected Vehicle technology, IoT and data-driven services. They offer in-car technology, web apps and APIs to thier customers to improve the experience of drivers all over Europe. The success of these services requires a reliable, well-documented and smooth-running platform.
They’re looking for a talented backend Python engineer – someone keen to be hands-on with big data and real-time streaming of events from their connected vehicles. This is a heavily distributed, Microservice, Cloud-based, containerised environment (and experience of working within such an environment would be essential).
Based in Central London this position may have occasional travel across Europe, however, this position is currently 100% remote.
As a software engineer you will:
Design and implement streaming-related microservices
Build streaming pipelines to drive their applications and event models
Collaborate on the infrastructure to run them
Work with other team members in an agile methodology (developers, DevOps, data scientists and Product Managers)
Deliver services from ideation through to running and monitoring in production
Experience in developing message processing applications in Python.
Experience of working in a distributed system environment
Understanding of AWS services
Data modelling and handling
Broad development experience, REST APIs, TDD, Docker, CI/CD
Messaging tools such as RabbitMQ, Amazon Kinesis or Kafka would be a massive bonus
Performance, both around large data and high concurrency
