We are working with an AI Montreal based start-up that is looking for a CTO/Head of Technology to take it through and beyond its Series A funding round. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary from $150k – $220k CAD. Remote working is possible but preferred candidates will be able to commute to the office in Montreal. Equity is also available.
This start-up has developed an AI enabled platform that allows clients to use Machine Learning to train employees in various job roles.
As a CTO/Head of Technology you would be an outward facing member of the senior leadership team and largely be the face of the business. Talking to investors and stakeholders about the company, it’s vision and roadmap and how the products can integrate with potential clients pre-existing systems. You will be involved in discussions of architecture, software engineering and machine learning. While we are not looking for you to be hands on in all these areas, you must have a good grounding of these subjects and be able to hold conversations at a senior level.
We are looking for someone who has a strong technical background in software engineering/architecture and has a passion for ML. You might have moved away from the tech into a managerial role or even into pre-sales. We can be very flexible for the right person. I’m not looking for someone who is necessarily hands on with ML but you need to know how it all plays with each other (and how they don’t).
You will be tasked with speaking with investors, clients, at conferences and even the occasional press release to bolster the company profile.
You will also be expected to evaluate the current product offering and continually work on building the roadmap with other senior stakeholders. As the role is wide ranging the company believes in self-evaluation a lot so the right person will seek out where their skills are best used and deployed.
We have a lot more information we can cover on the client and the role so if this is something you are interested in, please get in contact and I will be in touch with more detail.
Really important: You must be a Canadian Citizen for this role.
